This phrase, popularized by a highly successful Brazilian film, applies well to the project developed by Ocupantes for the company Expeditors.
Expeditors is a company that provides services to the logistics sector, including supply chain solutions, transportation, customs, warehousing, and distribution. Founded in 1979 and headquartered in Seattle, Washington – USA, it has 17,400 employees distributed across 322 offices in 103 countries on 6 continents.
Recently, a company directive set the goal of significantly improving the quality of office occupancy worldwide. In Brazil, this was no different; the company decided to relocate its offices to developments with a good corporate image, location, and infrastructure that would meet the needs of its clients, suppliers, and employees.

Expeditors then sought a company that could meet this challenge, which involved 7 offices in cities distributed throughout Brazil from North (Manaus) to South (Porto Alegre). Furthermore, it was essential to move between the relevant departments abroad, the Brazilian headquarters, and each local leader, understanding local needs and reporting to all involved, maintaining the flow of information and decisions from each negotiation. Thus, Expeditors found in Ocupantes the necessary support to fulfill its “mission.” It was fundamental to understand the decision-making process at all levels so that each project could be developed at the necessary speed, both from the client’s perspective and the owners’ expectations, to avoid interruptions in negotiations.
Ocupantes has knowledge of each local market and offered the full range of necessary information, as well as conducting each negotiation seeking the best conditions for Expeditors. Considering the diversity of cities involved, a team of three experienced professionals (Douglas Faioli, Jonathan Govier, and Haroldo Lopes) personally oversaw each project. We also had the technical support of OPM (Rafael Pecin), who assisted with the office installation projects. This support was crucial in choosing the properties, defining those that would offer the best layout solutions and setting the costs of each project in advance.
Finally, it was a great satisfaction to be able to repeat the motto “mission given, mission accomplished” and observe that each project resulted in the success of having a new office that perfectly met the needs of each operation.
