The Company
General Mills is one of the largest food companies in the world. It is headquartered in Golden Valley, Minnesota, Minneapolis.
It has a catalog of more than 100 brands, such as Annie’s, Betty Crocker, Bisquick, Blue Buffalo, Cheerios, Chex, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Cocoa Puffs, Cookie Crisp, Häagen-Dazs, Lucky Charms, Oatmeal Crisp, Pillsbury, Progresso, Trix, Wheaties and Yoki.
It currently operates 43 production points, including 5 in Brazil, distributed in the cities of Cambará, Campo Novo do Parecis, Paranavaí, Pouso Alegre, and Recife.

Seeking to significantly reduce its occupational costs, General Mills had two options before it: either to return part of the floor occupied in Ed. Ronaldo Sampaio Ferreira, or to analyze the relocation as an alternative to achieve cost reductions and maintain an area compatible with its needs. Thus, Ocupantes came to meet the needs of General Mills to help it define which option would be the best from a qualitative and financial point of view.
After being retained by General Mills, Ocupantes began work, coordinating the market research based on pre-established criteria in the regions of Av. Paulista, Itaim Bibi, Pinheiros, Barra Funda and Berrini, subsequently organizing visits to the selected buildings, preparing financial analyses for several alternatives comparing the current situation with the new scenario for each alternative, coordinating the process of preparing the testfits and, afterwards, began negotiations with the owners of the three (3) main alternatives, seeking the best results within the established deadline.
After several rounds of negotiation, in the three potential properties, Ocupantes secured a very favorable deal in the Centro Administrativo Santo Amaro (C.A.S.A.), an office complex located in Chácara Santo Antônio, a neighborhood with a profile of occupation by large national and multinational companies. The C.A.S.A offered a useful area of approximately 1,000 m² in a single floor, generating great flexibility in the layout. The complex has a great location, with easy access, and also conveys excellent visibility and corporate image, qualities that Exel Logistics had been looking for since the beginning of the process.
