The Company
Created in 1973 by Paulo Giovanni and Mauricio Nogueira, the agency Giovanni FCB has offices in Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo and Brasília. Among its clients are companies such as Kaiser, Pirelli, Guaraná Kuat, Fiat, Intelig, Telecom and O Globo.
Since 1998, the agency has been associated with FCB Worldwide, one of the largest communication groups in the world, with 190 offices in 103 countries. Among its many achievements, we highlight awards such as the three “Lions” at the Cannes Festival in 2002, when it was the most awarded agency in Brazil, “Professionals of the Year” in 2004, as well as international awards such as the Ibero-American Festival of Advertising (FIAP), Clio, London Festival, One Show, among others.
With business growth, Giovanni FCB needed to expand its occupation from 1,100 m2 to 1,600 m2, preferably without having to relocate from the building, the North Tower of the Centro Empresarial Nações Unidas.
Since remaining in the same building was the ideal solution for Giovanni FCB, Ocupantes innovated: not only did it conduct the work in the usual manner (conducting a detailed survey of alternatives, in the North Tower itself and in adjacent buildings, and preparing a report comparing them), but it also introduced a new procedure: to verify with all neighboring occupants which lease contracts were expiring, in order to arrange a possible agreement.
To the delight of Giovanni FCB, and rewarding the efforts of the Occupiers, it turned out that the neighboring complex occupied by Turner International might become vacant, since Turner also had expansion plans. Negotiations began with the alternative buildings and expansion options in the CENU North Tower itself. In the end, and converging all interests, Giovanni FCB opted to lease the neighboring space occupied by Turner International – who moved to the West Tower, also with the advice of Ocupantes, saving considerably on the move and obtaining excellent commercial terms in the renewal of their contract for a further 5 years.
