Yahoo!, one of the internet giants, decided to carry out an ambitious global project to improve its facilities in several cities around the world. Among the strategic choices, São Paulo was chosen as one of the privileged cities to receive a new headquarters, marking an important chapter in the company’s history.
Before this significant change, Yahoo! faced challenges at its headquarters in the Vila Olímpia region. Installed in an old building with small floors, the company operated in sets distributed across different floors, making logistics complex. A change attempt carried out about a year earlier had been unsuccessful, and the company was struggling to align all aspects involved in such a complex change.
It was in this challenging context that we at Ocupantes stepped in, offering our services. We present to Yahoo! a complete view of the market in the regions of interest, taking into account a perimeter and other established assumptions.
Over three intensive months, we explored all possibilities, visiting and discussing options. The result of this process was the identification of three options that met the pre-established objectives, paving the way for negotiations.
Yahoo! found a new home in São Paulo, more precisely in the Faria Lima Square building, with a generous area of 1,807 m². This successful partnership between Yahoo! and Ocupantes not only redefined the company’s work environment, but also demonstrated our experience in dealing with complex challenges and offering personalized solutions to our clients in the corporate real estate sector.

He is a Partner – Corporate Real Estate Director at Ocupantes and has been working in the real estate market since 1996. He specializes in corporate representation services, acting as project leader for Ocupantes’ large clients. He has already worked at the French multinational bank, Société Générale, in the foreign currency lending department and, later, in the planning area of Eurofarma.
