The Company
With headquarters in the USA and 100 years of experience, EnerSys is a global leader in industrial battery solutions. It operates 32 manufacturing plants across the world and employs 9,600 people.
EnerSys’ existing operation in Guarulhos was inadequate to meet their strong growth strategy. Ocupantes was engaged to identify the new site and lead the negotiation process until contract close-out. The results could not have been better as an existing structure in Guarulhos was adapted by the owner-developers at a very low rate below market. Ocupantes’ expertise was key to draft the main building specs and long-term lease agreement.
Bruce Lorimer | Founding Partner
He founded Ocupantes in 2004 after having worked for 8 years in a multinational real estate consultancy firm. It led the company to carry out 1276 transactions, totaling R$8.27 billion in amounts traded in over 17 million square meters.
He received a degree in civil engineering from the University of Durham in England and a master’s degree in construction engineering from the University of Cantabria in Spain.
