Melitta, a company with German roots founded in 1908, has expanded its operations to more than 60 countries throughout its history. Since 1968, Melitta has been present in Brazil, where it has established itself as its second main market. In the following case, we will explore how Ocupantes helped Melitta solve a crucial challenge related to its office lease in the EZ Towers building – Tower B – 29th Floor, with 1,840.97 m², in 2018.
Melitta’s challenge
Even though Melitta was a renowned company, it was facing a problem with its office location. The amount paid for the lease was relatively high, and the need for more space was becoming imminent due to the company’s constant growth. It was a problem that, if not resolved, could worsen in the medium term.
The strategic decision was then made to seek help from Ocupantes, whose mission was to find a new office that would offer more space and, at the same time, present an advantageous negotiation for Melitta. The company understood that occupancy quality could not be compromised, but the cost needed to be optimized.
