The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), created in 1957 as an autonomous organization of the United Nations, plays a crucial role in promoting the peaceful use of nuclear energy. With the aim of strengthening its operations in South America, the IAEA sought the services offered by us at Ocupantes.
The IAEA Safeguards Department, responsible for implementing safeguards in the region, was looking for strategically located office space in Rio de Janeiro. The need included not only accessible offices, but also spaces for storing equipment, considering operational demands outside normal working hours.
With due authorization from the IAEA, our team contacted those responsible for renting the event spaces at the Hotel Golden Tulip. The persuasive report convinced the owners that a long-term lease would be advantageous for the hotel, outweighing the proposed temporary adjustment.
5-Year Lease Contract: A Strategic Success
The result of this strategic partnership was the guarantee of a lease contract for the next 5 years. In addition, we identified a 100 m2 space on the ground floor of the hotel, meeting the IAEA’s meeting needs and providing ample space for the safe storage of equipment. Not only did we overcome the initial challenges, but we also established a solid foundation for the IAEA’s continued success in Rio de Janeiro.
