Panalpina, one of the leading global logistics companies, faced challenges regarding its office facilities in Rio de Janeiro. We will talk a little about the representation service in the leasing of a new office in the Praia de Botafogo Building, with 440 m² that Ocupantes provided to Panalpina.

Founded in 1935, Panalpina is recognized as one of the world’s leading supply chain solutions providers. Headquartered in Basel, Switzerland, the group operates in more than 90 countries, encompassing 500 branches and employing around 15,500 employees. In Rio de Janeiro, however, the existing facilities did not meet the security and image standards that the company sought.

Panalpina faced a dilemma when looking for a new location for its offices in Rio de Janeiro. Any change would represent an increase in costs, and the new location needed to offer a significant improvement that reflected the company’s evolution and met the expectations of employees and customers. The choice fell on the neighborhood of Botafogo, highly desired by large multinationals.

    Solutions and results

Ocupantes played a fundamental role in transforming the situation at Panalpina. Through intense negotiations, it was possible to obtain a rental price compatible with the company’s budget, along with a grace period for the necessary works. Panalpina gained a new office that was in line with its leading position in the logistics market.

One of the key points for the success of this negotiation was Ocupantes careful search for a space where renovations and adaptation costs would be kept to a minimum. The owner of the Praia de Botafogo Building understood the need to give in when negotiating the renovations and even replaced the air conditioning machines to meet Panalpina’s needs.
