The Expeditors office in Manaus faced two main problems: idle space and inflated rent. Given this scenario, the immediate solution seemed to be the search for a smaller office, which would result in a more affordable rent. To resolve this issue, Expeditors hired Ocupantes to conduct a detailed analysis and find the best possible solution.
The Ocupantes team traveled from São Paulo to Manaus and spent a few days dedicated to market research in the region, interacting with local owners and brokers to gather relevant information. Through this investigation, we were able to negotiate advantageous commercial terms with the owners of the property where Expeditors was already installed.
Thanks to our negotiation, Expeditors chose to renew the lease on the same property. Even with the continued idle space, the new commercial terms made the renovation a financially viable and advantageous decision for the company.
