A renowned global technology consulting firm with over 28 years of experience and headquartered in Chicago faced a significant challenge. Occupying 560 m2 in the São Luiz Gonzaga building, the consultancy company needed the assistance of Ocupantes to continue negotiating the lease contract, impacted by the stratospheric adjustment of the IGPM.
The Brazilian real estate market, notoriously influenced by the General Market Price Index (IGPM), imposed a rental adjustment that raised the rental value to levels above those practiced in the market. This significant increase generated the need for a strategic intervention to maintain the financial viability of operations in the building.

Even with the adjustment already foreseen in the contract, our team was surprised to be able to negotiate efficiently, ensuring that the rental value remained below market values. This achievement was essential to preserve the financial health of the technology consultancy company and ensure the continuity of its operations in the São Luiz Gonzaga building.
